As peace settled and the Mekong River opened its waters again, Indo-China was rediscovered as one of the world's most interesting and tasteful travel destinations. It is a fretwork of lush farmland, wooded hills, long creamy beaches and cities that developed under influences from the Buddha to the French. Out of years of neglect, first class hotels and infrastructures in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos are blossoming again and being developed quickly to welcome the visitor.
